Erling Haaland stunned fans by swearing in his post-match interview following Manchester City's 2-0 win away to Leicester.

Haaland, along with Savinho, managed to get on the scoresheet as City secured a much-needed win.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Haaland said: 'It is good to win and not much to say. I don’t know what the difference was. I am just happy that we won. It is important to look ahead.

'S**t happens, that’s something that can happen.

Referencing the interviewer, Haaland said: 'You swore before, so it doesn't matter'.

'Things happen, we have to keep going and stay positive and focus on the right things. It is always a relief when you score and it is an important goal to go 1-0 up.

'They are playing well under the new coach. It is New Year, so don’t think too much about football, I think it is the longest time in a long period so we can rest.'

After winning the Premier League title four times in succession, City have endured unexpected struggles this season.

Going into the game against Leicester, Pep Guardiola's team had gone eight Premier League matches without a win, with six of those being defeats.

Despite being Leicester, City are in fifth place and find themselves 11 points behind leaders Liverpool, who have played two games fewer.

Haaland, meanwhile, ended his run of four games without a goal, with his last strike having come in the 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on December 7.

Following Haaland's comments, one user wrote on X: 'Haaland always swearing in interviews lol'.

Another wrote: 'Haaland swearing on Sky' accompanied by a crying with laughter emoji.

In addition, another user wrote: Haaland thinks he’s well hard swearing on tv'.

City will return to action on January 4 with a home game against West Ham.

Despite his own struggles at times this season, Haaland still has a return of 14 goals in 19 Premier League games overall.
