The fountains of Cibeles and Neptuno are located just a few 100 metres from each other in the centre of Madrid and it is at these fountains that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid traditionally celebrate their titles.
Both clubs visited in May, with Real Madrid visiting Cibeles with the Champions League and Atletico Madrid taking the Europa League trophy to Neptuno, but neither set of players will stop by after the UEFA Super Cup.
With LaLiga starting this weekend, there simply isn't time for the victorious team to have a celebration with their fans.
Instead, the winning team is expected to present the UEFA Super Cup to fans at their first home of the campaign, this Sunday against Getafe for Real Madrid or the following weekend against Rayo Vallecano for Atletico Madrid.
The UEFA Super Cup has never really been considered worthy of a trip to the fountains.
The capital city sides have won five of the past eight between them, but haven't celebrated these victories at their fountains.
That said, it is still expected that some fans of the winning team will congregate around their fountain on the night of the match.
