Footage has emerged of a Liverpool supporter being chased out of the Cardiff City Stadium by angry home fans after celebrating his team's second goal on Sunday.

The clip shows the Liverpool fan being bundled out of one of the home stands by stewards with about a dozen Cardiff fans in pursuit.

One shouts 'f***ing have him' as security rush him out of the stadium, but not before punches are exchanged.

An eyewitness said the Liverpool fan had been sat in a Cardiff section and had celebrated when James Milner scored their second goal of the afternoon from the penalty spot.

Liverpool won the Premier League fixture 2-0 to return to the top of the table and push Cardiff closer to relegation to the Championship.

A spokesman for South Wales Police confirmed that two arrests were made in relation to events around the game.

Other footage emerged on Twitter showing Liverpool fans being removed from home stands.

As Liverpool close in on potentially their first league title since 1990, tickets for their matches - especially away from home - are becoming like gold dust.

It's clear that their fans will go to extraordinary lengths to watch Jurgen Klopp's side, even if it involves buying tickets in home sections.
