The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games are an attractive proposition for sportspeople all over the world and one of those is Hector Herrera, who was part of the Mexico team that won the gold medal at London in 2012.

Having joined Atletico Madrid from Porto in the summer, he has made an impact at club level at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano and will hope to do the same for his country in the summer as an overage player.

"Of course I'd love to and if you asked me who should be there then I'd include myself," he told FOX Sports.

"It would be a dream to take part and win the Olympics again.

"It would be easier to understand what is coming and to use that experience and share it with the young players."

Other players who could be included are Andres Guardado, Jonathan dos Santos and Carlos Vela.

"If they need me and things work out, let's go for it," Vela told ESPN.
