Atletico Madrid have total confidence in their current squad

This summer's transfer window being a little out of the ordinary shouldn't pose too many problems for Atletico Madrid as Los Rojiblancos don't have any major plans for the market.

The club are clear that there won't be any big deals done, barring anything unexpected happening.

One of their players leaving due to a release clause being activated would likely prompt them to dip into the market, but other than that they'll be sticking with the hand they've been dealt and not adding any big names, nor letting any leave.

Atleti spent 270 million euros last summer and following a transitional season in 2019/20, they feel largely satisfied with the group of players they have at their disposal.

But that doesn't mean that nothing will happen. Antonio Adan will leave, meaning a goalkeeper will come in.

One of the three right backs - Kieran Trippier, Sime Vrsaljko and Santiago Arias - could also be on the move in search of regular playing time as well.

Mario Hermoso is the centre-back who Diego Simeone is least convinced by.

Thomas Lemar's future remains a mystery, but having cost the club 72 million euros he could be difficult to move on elsewhere, particularly after the failure to shift him in January.
