Getafe execute option to buy Marc Cucurella

  /  autty

Barcelona confirmed on Tuesday morning that Getafe had exercised their option to buy Marc Cucurella, as agreed in his loan deal at the Madrid-based club.

Jose Bordalas' team will pay 10 million euros for the player, and Barcelona will receive 10 percent of any future sale.

Cucurella spent last season on loan at Eibar, while this season he has become a key player for Bordalas, featuring in 38 games across LaLiga Santander, the Copa del Rey and Europa League.

After joining Barcelona in 2012, Cucurella's time at Camp Nou appears to have come to an end.

The fee paid is a record for Getafe, whose previous record transfer was 7.5 million euros for Erick Cabaco.

Deyverson and Kenedy depart

Loanees Deyverson and Kenedy have both returned to parent clubs Palmeiras and Chelsea respectively, as the club announced that they would not take advantage of options to buy either of the Brazilians.
