Munir rewarding Caparros' trust

  /  autty

Joaquin Caparros doesn't hold fond memories of his time as sporting director at Sevilla. An office job in which his time was largely spent on the phone and some distance from the pitch was not suited to him, nor was it what he wanted to do.

Munir El Haddadi was his penultimate signing before moving into the job of coach. The former Barcelona player was admired by Caparros, and it was him who put a good offer on the table to lure him away from the Camp Nou earlier than was initially planned.

A change of environment was needed for Munir, and Caparros backed him.

Important since arriving

Pablo Machin relied on the player since his arrival with there being a number of doubts about Andre Silva, but goals weren't too easy to come by.

Caparros gave him confidence and belief, with Munir since scoring in his last two games.

He has played as a traditional No.9, a support striker, a playmaker and even on the left wing, and already has four goals while still trying to adapt to the needs of his new team.

Now, he has belief in his own abilities and his coach trusts him for now, as well as for the future.

Munir is impressing at Sevilla, and is giving them reason to be pleased with their investment.
