Rodrygo: Casemiro not playing the Clasico is a concern for Real Madrid

The Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid is fast approaching, which has led Rodrygo Goes to make clear that he doesn't want Casemiro to miss the crucial match.

His compatriot could receive a one-game suspension if he receives a yellow card in Los Blancos' next LaLiga Santander game away to Valencia.

"[Receiving another yellow card] is a risk that concerns us, but I hope [Casemiro] is there for the Clasico," Rodrygo said.

"But we can't grieve about that because there are games beforehand [against Club Brugge and Valencia to focus on]."

Real Madrid remain on top of the table after beating Espanyol 2-0, although Barcelona could return to summit, albeit level on points with Los Blancos, if they beat Real Mallorca on Saturday night.

"We are very happy with the team's momentum," Rodrygo added.

"I have to think about the present, nothing more.

"The Galatasaray thing is past. I am happy with what I am playing.

"There are lots of good players here."

Vinicius Junior produced a decent performance against the Catalan side, and Rodrygo explained that he combines well with his teammate on the pitch.

"We found each other very well [on the pitch]," he noted.

"I am getting used to playing on the right little by little. I think Vini played well."
