Quique Setien and Real Betis desperately need Marc Bartra to get back to his best in their remaining six LaLiga Santander games this season if they are to qualify for Europe again.
The Catalan has struggled in recent weeks and has endured a situation that he hasn't had to face since arriving in Andalusia, not playing in two of the last three LaLiga Santander matches - missing out against Sevilla and Real Sociedad.
On top of those, he also sat out the game with Valladolid, meaning he was absent in three of the last eight games.
Rather than injury or suspension playing a part, Setien took the decision to leave him out on each occasion.
But despite him not being at his very best, Betis tend to struggle more in his absence.
In the eight games he has missed in 2018/19, the Andalusians have won just twice, while they've lost on four of those occasions, leaking 12 goals in the process.
His quality remains, even in a poor run, and Setien will be hoping he rediscovers his best form sooner rather than later as they continue to fight for the last Europa League place.
