What's wrong with Isco...

  /  autty

Everything that could go wrong for Real Madrid against CSKA Moscow went wrong as the European champions lost 3-0 at home to the Russian side.

There was not much at stake for Los Blancos, but the cost of losing can be very high.

It will remain in the memory of supporters, the newspapers and it will give people a lot to talk about, especially Isco.

From now on, Isco will be the focus of virtually everything that is talked about with regard to Madrid; everything around him goes from bad to worse.

First a substitute, then punished and now whistled by his own fans who have turned against him.

His future is certainly not encouraging, but good performances and a strong personality will be enough to turn this situation around as this is the worst moment he has experienced since he first started wearing the famous white colours.

Encouragingly, however, was the performance of Vinicius Junior, who played arguably his best game since joining Madrid.

He improved the attacking play of Madrid in the first half, showing his skills at times, and he was able to engage with his teammates as he dribbled at defenders and found the open man.

In goal for Santiago Solari's side, Thibaut Courtois got the nod - despite the protestations of Keylor Navas - and the Costa Rican's outlook at the club looks bleak.

For CSKA, this was an incredible match - one that will live on in their history - yet their European adventure has come to a close after Viktoria Plzen's 2-1 victory over Roma.

This was Madrid's worst home defeat in European history, and they had not lost in the group stages at home since AC Milan won 3-2 in 2009/10, while the last side to defeat Los Blancos home and away in the group stage was Juventus in 2009/09.

The star in attack for CSKA was Fyodor Chalov, a 20-year-old who scored and was involved in another; his feint and left-footed shot opened the scoring for the Russians.
