Aurelio De Laurentiis affirms Napoli’s hopes of a shock Scudetto will ‘never die’ and the Europa League is an ‘objective’ but will not comment on Marek Hamsik.
Napoli fell 11 points behind Juve in the title race at the weekend and have not tended to field strong teams in previous Europa League campaigns.
However, De Laurentiis told Corriere dello Sport after a Lega Serie A meeting: “Hope never dies.
“There’s still a long way to go, so we’ll see. The Europa League? It’s an objective to be achieved.”
The newspaper adds the Partenopei President ignored questions about Hamsik after club lawyer Mattia Grassani warned the Slovak’s proposed transfer to Dalian Yifang risked falling through.
