Apollon 'superior to Lazio after break'

Apollon Limassol Coach Sofronis Augousti believes his side “were superior to Lazio in the second half” of their 2-1 defeat.

Luis Alberto had opened the scoring early on, but it took until a late Ciro Immobile penalty to secure the points.

“It was a game of two halves,” said the Apollon Coach in his Press conference.

“In the first half, Lazio were better, but in the second we found our tempo and created a lot of problems for them. I want to thank my players, because they were superior to Lazio in the second half.

“There was a little sadness in the locker room after the final whistle, but we are also aware that we played in the Stadio Olimpico with hunger and desire. Now we’ll try to pick up three very difficult points against Marseille.

“We mustn’t show fear in away fixtures, otherwise we’re immediately under pressure. We must have the confidence to trust in our own football.

“At the end of the day, the team with the most goals wins, so it doesn’t matter how well you play if it doesn’t go in the net.”
