Leonardo Bonucci has again hit out at the fans who jeered him at San Siro during the Italy game. “People forget it’s a unique jersey.”

The Juventus defender was playing at San Siro for the first time since his return to Turin after a season at Milan.

Some of the local supporters chose this opportunity to jeer his every touch during Italy’s 0-0 draw with Portugal.

Bonucci sparked controversy in his Rai Sport interview after the game for calling those who insulted him “idiots.”

This evening, he turned to Instagram to send another message about the incident.

“We wanted to win and were unable to do it, but we’ll grow through games like this and that is our objective. What matters is that we don’t lose enthusiasm or confidence.

“Wearing this jersey is a unique experience, this is a unique jersey. Every now and then people forget that.”
