De Laurentiis admits he'd 'consider indecent proposal' for Koulibaly or Allan

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis admits he’d “only consider an indecent proposal” for Kalidou Koulibaly or Allan, having rejected €105m.

The centre-back has been targeted above all by the two Manchester clubs and it’s reported United made the offer over the summer.

“I do recall that we turned down a proposal worth €105m, but do not ask me who it was from,” the President told the Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

When asked how long Napoli would resist calls for Koulibaly or Paris Saint-Germain target Allan, ADL opened the door for perhaps the first time.

“We will reflect on these issues only in case there is an offer that is well beyond the market price, call it even an indecent proposal, but also only if the players want us to accept these proposals.”

The Partenopei are looking elsewhere too, specifically towards Colombia international James Rodriguez.

“He is on loan at Bayern Munich until June 30. He could return to Real Madrid, if the release clause is not activated, with a contract that expires in 2021. I don’t believe that until that moment (Real Madrid President) Florentino Perez will want to show his hand.

“This is a transitional year, because Carlo Ancelotti’s way of viewing football is different to Maurizio Sarri and Rafa Benitez before him.

“We need to plan changes that will lower the average age of the squad and are functional to this project. The January window is used only to repair problems or reserve players who are interesting for the future.”
