Fans think Pjanic is a better free-kick taker than Juventus team-mate Ronaldo

Miralem Pjanic netted one of the most eye-catching free kicks of the international break on Tuesday — prompting Juventus fans to question why he doesn't take them all the time for his club.

Pjanic took aim just 15 minutes into Bosnia and Herzegovina's Euro 2020 qualifier against Greece, with his side already one goal to the good.

Despite the distance — a full 35 yards — and a precautionary one-man wall, the 28-year-old found the bottom corner with a ferocious effort that swerved beyond a rooted Odisseas Vlachodimos.

The strike saw the home fans erupt in celebration, and they weren't the only ones to marvel at the incredible set piece.

Plenty of Juventus supporters watched the replay of the goal on Twitter, with many pondering why Pjanic doesn't take every free kick for the Serie A leaders, instead of sharing the duties with Cristiano Ronaldo.

One fan tweeted: 'Let's get something straight. Ronaldo is one of the best in history but he has no business taking free-kicks over Pjanic.

'Pjanic was regularly banging them in for Roma and then for Juve (before Ronaldo joined) and was considered one of the best in the world, if not the best.'

Another put it more succinctly, tweeting simply: 'Who needs Ronaldo?'

It didn't all go to plan for Pjanic on the night however, with things rather falling apart after his goal.

The Juventus playmaker was red carded as Greece came from two goals down to earn a point in Group J.
