Juve president Andrea Agnelli and the board resigned en masse yesterday amid a financial investigation.
Cherubini offered to follow Agnelli out the club, but the former president rejected the proposal and insisted he stay on.
As such, Cherubini will continue to work with coach Max Allegri and the soon-to-formed board.
