Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he went through a very tough moment back in 2018 and promised that he will discuss about this sensitive topic soon.

The Inter striker responded to questions asked by his followers on Twitter and was sincere about some mental issues he faced while plying his trade at Manchester United.

"I went to through some issues in 2018 going to talk about it real real soon," wrote Lukaku on Twitter after he was asked by a user how he dealt with mental illness.

Questioned about how players are entertaining themselves during Euro 2020, Lukaku revealed that they "played cards, NBA 2K and Call of Duty."

Meanwhile, another user asked Lukaku how he has dealt with tough criticism throughout his career.

"To be honest, I think my work behind the scenes shows my mentality," was Lukaku's response.

"Always try to improve and most importantly win games."

Change of diet

Having led Inter to their first Serie A title since 2010, Lukaku is going through one of the best moments in his career after having been advised by Belgium's assistant coach and former striker Thierry Henry to change his diet and lose some weight.

In Italy they point out that his transformation was a result of the work by Inter nutritionist Matteo Pincella, as Lukaku lost seven kilos and swapped carbonara and pizzas for salads and fish.
