Former Juventus director Beppe Marotta is reportedly already in China and will sign with Suning to join Inter within 48 hours.
According to the Corriere della Sera and La Gazzetta dello Sport, Marotta has already been in Nanjing since Saturday.
He has had several meetings with Suning patron Zhang Jindong and his son, Inter President Steven Zhang, to discuss his role within the club.
Although there has been no signature as yet, they are down to the details and should formalise Marotta’s appointment.
To avoid a similar situation that occurred with Walter Sabatini when he was briefly co-ordinator for both Inter and Jiangsu Suning, Marotta wants to be clear on how his role will be different to that of director of sport Piero Ausilio.
