Totti feels Roma are now on the right track under coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
On Soule, he told Betssonsport.com: "He's doing great things. I'm happy because the player deserves it. He's strong mentally because he's a tough player in that regard.
"He's physically fit now, and with Paulo (Dybala), they could do great things. If they played more games together, it would be better. It's a bit like me with Antonio (Cassano)."
On Gasperini, Totti said: "He's a good coach, let's hope he can continue on this path."
The Roma great also discussed former Roma coach Jose Mourinho, who won the Europa Conference League with the Giallorossi.
Totti added, "He was the best, the number one because in two years in Rome he led the team to two finals: one won and the other badly lost, and he brought a European trophy after 30 years."
