Udinese President Giuseppe Pozzo has reportedly given Luca Gotti until tomorrow to decide if he will continue at the helm of the Friuli.
Sky Sport Italia claims Gotti has doubts about his position in Udine and asked for time before giving the club an answer about his commitment for next season.
Gotti started the season as Igor Tudor’s assistant, but replaced the Croatian in November, initially as a temporary solution.
Udinese finished the season with three wins in their last four games and ended 13th in Serie A with Gotti in charge.
The 52-year-old has still not decided if he wants the job full term and the report from Sky Sport Italia led to speculation regarding the job at the Dacia Arena.
Leonardo Semplici and Rolando Maran have both been mentioned as possible candidates for the Udinese dugout.
Former SPAL coach Semplici, who took the Biancazzurri from Serie C to the top flight, has been without a job since he was fired in February and replaced by Luigi Di Biagio in Ferrara.
Maran lost his job in March, when Walter Zenga took his place at Cagliari, and could also be eager to get back in the dugout as soon as possible.
But Gotti gets the final say, as Tuttomercatoweb claims the Bianconeri patron Pozzo will give the current coach until tomorrow to decide before he starts looking for a replacement.
