In an interview with French news outlet L’Equipe, Barcelona star Arturo Vidal has spoken on the impact Inter manager Antonio Conte has had on his playing career.
“Antonio Conte was essential for my growth. As a player he was a bit like me, and he taught me a lot about defensive positioning, but also about attack too,” the Chilean said.
“Thanks to him I started scoring many goals. Tactically he is a monster. Then I had the opportunity to work with Carlo Ancelotti, Jorge Sampaoli, Max Allegri and Pep Guardiola: everyone of them has given me something.”
Vidal has drawn links to the Nerazzurri in recent weeks with it reported that Inter have identified him as a possible January transfer market addition who could help them achieve their goal of bolstering their midfield department.
The 32-year-old has made six appearances across all competitions this season for the Blaugrana but has been limited to just 176 minutes on the pitch.
