Barcelona dressing room livid with Bartomeu over Neymar situation (Marca)

Neymar's future looks no closer to being resolved as Real Madrid, Barcelona and PSG all continue to try and posture to get the best possible outcome for themselves, yet key figures in the Blaugrana dressing room have been left furious with Josep Maria Bartomeu over his offer for the forward, according to Marca.

With the Brazilian having made it somewhat clear that he would like to return to the club he left two seasons ago, it should come as little surprise that the former Santos prodigy has been in touch with a number of his former teammates.

Whilst names haven't been disclosed, it's understood that Neymar told these players the fiscal value of Barcelona's biggest offer for him was only around 140 million euros.

This is a fee that is substantially lower than the 250-million-euro price tag set by the Parisian club, never mind the forward's sizeable market value.

Such an offer is what English clubs would call 'derisory' and the feeling is shared within the Barcelona dressing room, with it no longer a secret that the players are frustrated due to the feeling that Bartomeu isn't doing enough to bring Neymar back.

Now under normal circumstances you could say that the president has a right to go after whomever he pleases in the market, yet the fact Bartomeu made a serious promise to his players at the end of the 2018/19 season has only further complicated matters.

It's understood that the president told the current squad that he would do everything possible to bring the South American back, yet an offer of 140 million euros doesn't come under the category of 'everything possible', at least not in the eyes of senior players.
