Barcelona keen on Arsenal's Bellerin after missing out on Chelsea's Azpilicueta

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has been offered to Barcelona, according to reports.

The right-back, 27, enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Real Betis in LaLiga last season, helping Manuel Pellegrini’s side to win the Copa del Rey and contributing five assists in 32 games.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Bellerin has emerged as an option for the Catalan giants after their preferred target Cesar Azpilicueta signed a new deal at Chelsea.

However, Barcelona currently have other priorities in the transfer market, including completing the acquisition of Marcos Alonso, the signing of Bernardo SIlva and resolving the Frenkie de Jong saga, and have asked for more time to assess the transfer.

Bellerin is also attracting interest from Betis, but they face financial problems like Barcelona and have so far been unable to register several players, let alone sign the Gunners’ right-back.

The Spaniard is negotiating the termination of his contract with Arsenal, which expires next June, and he would be available on a free transfer for Xavi’s side, with the Barcelona coach keen on the signing if finances allow.

Bellerin has been eager to rejoin Betis this summer and is also now interested in a move to his boyhood club, who he left to join the Gunners at 16.

He reportedly almost re-signed for them last season before then-manager Ronald Koeman vetoed his arrival but the club have always admired their former youth product from afar.

Bellerin has won three FA Cups and three Community Shields, scoring nine goals and assisting 29 more in 239 games for the Gunners since his move in 2013.

He fell out of favour with Mikel Arteta before departing on loan last year and his representatives are now hoping to negotiate the cancellation of his contract at the club.
