Alexis Sanchez 'has been offered an escape route from Manchester United with Inter Milan ready to make a move for the Chile star this summer'.

Sanchez has endured a torrid time at United since moving from Arsenal back in January 2018 and has been confined to substitute appearances for much of this season due to a mixture of poor form and fitness problems.

Serie A giants Inter are reported to hold a interest in the 30-year-old, who United are keen to offload this summer.

The Chile international's £500,000 wages however have created a huge issue for United in terms of attracting suitors for the misfiring star.

The Independent claim Inter are one of the only major European sides interested but have baulked at his wage demands.

It has been reported that Sanchez would have to take a significant pay cut to join Inter despite the club prepping for an ambitious spending spree this summer.

According to The Independent, Sanchez's camp are considering whether it would be worth taking the loss.

They also have reported that Inter want to sign Antonio Valencia, who has onfirmed he will leave Old Trafford in the summer.

The 33-year-old also has offers from the States but may have to move back to a winger role if he is to convince sides to commit to him as their 'Designated Player'.
