Inter are reportedly preparing to make an improved offer of £60m (€66.5m) plus bonuses for Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to Sky Sports, the fee would be paid in two or three instalments and Inter are keen to wrap up a deal now so United have enough time to sign a replacement.
Thaty Sp is because the English transfer deadline shuts on August 9 as opposed to the end of next month.
It now remains to be seen whether the bid convinces the Red Devils to come down from their valuation, which Sky claims exceeds £79m (€87.5m).
Lukaku remains the Nerazzurri’s primary No 9 target, despite negotiations having stalled.
