Milan 'won't renew with Bonaventura' whose contract to expire in summer

After weeks of rumours, AC Milan have made their final decision on Giacomo Bonaventura. The midfielder's contract will expire in the summer and the Rossoneri have no intention of offering a renewal.

According to reports from Sky Italia (via Milanlive.it), the Milan directors have agreed that this is the best solution. An unpopular choice, perhaps, but by now rather obvious as Bonaventura had lost his spot in the starting eleven, six years after arriving at the club.

The negotiations with his agent, Mino Raiola, have thus stopped and the player has already been approached by the likes of Lazio, Torino and Napoli. In other words, despite Milan's rejection, he's still a wanted man on the market.

According to today's edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), Torino have accelerated the negotiations for the 30-year-old, offering a three-year deal worth €1.5m per year. Certainly, this is an offer that Bonaventura will consider carefully.
