Militao's arrival makes it more difficult for James to return (Marca)

AJames Rodriguez return to Real Madrid has been made more unlikely by the arrival of Eder Militao from Porto, as Los Blancos will already have reached the maximum of three non-EU players in the squad.

Rodrygo, who is also set to join Real Madrid in June and Vinicius, who is already considered as a vital member of the team, are the other two players without European citizenship.

For the Colombian to return, he'd need to acquire a European passport or hope that Real Madrid loan out the 18-year-old Rodrygo.

Meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane's return to the bench was not a good sign for the Colombia international either, as he departed after a season in which he didn't enjoy playing time under the Frenchman.

The new Real Madrid coach is expected to make his decision soon on whether he counts on the playmaker for the upcoming season.

If he departs Bayern Munich and if Zidane decides against his return, Italy seems the most likely destination for the 27-year-old attacking midfielder.
