Napoli 'eye Zenit striker Azmoun and Lille forward Osimhen as Milik’s successor'

Napoli have, according to Il Mattino, stepped up their search for Arkadiusz Milik’s successor at the San Paolo, with two players in mind.

The Poland international’s future in Naples is uncertain, as his current deal expires in 2021 and the Partenopei could be forced to sell this summer.

President Aurelio De Laurentiis doesn’t want the forward to leave on a free transfer, a possible scenario next summer should the Azzurri keep him but fail to agree new terms with the 26-year-old.

In the meantime, Napoli are looking at possible replacements and Il Mattino claims LOSC Lille forward Victor Osimhen has emerged as a possible transfer target.

But the two stumbling blocks will be the competition from Arsenal and the 21-year-old’s price tag of €55m, making Zenit St Petersburg forward Sardar Azmoun a more plausible objective.

The Iranian forward has been linked with Napoli in recent weeks and has hinted he would like a new challenge.

The newspaper claims he could come for €30m or €35m and be a cheaper option than Osimhen.
