Pogba's options: Manchester United, Real Madrid, PSG or Juventus

Paul Pogba's contract with Manchester United is set to expire in the summer of 2022 and his future remains uncertain, with Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus being tipped as potential destinations if he decides to leave Old Trafford.

The 28-year-old is not expected to contemplate an offer from any other Premier League side, but should he not put pen to paper to a new deal with United, he will be free to negotiate his future from January 1.

Extend his Manchester United contract

It was something that not long ago seemed unlikely, but the club have already made contact with Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, and the two parties are currently negotiating a new deal.

The France international has not ruled out staying at Old Trafford following the return of Cristiano Ronaldo and the arrivals of his compatriot Raphael Varane and promising winger Jadon Sancho.

Pogba wants to win both the Premier League and the Champions League, with the English press reporting that should he stay, he would become United's highest-paid player.

Fulfil his dream of joining Real Madrid

Pogba has never hidden his admiration of and his desire to play at Real Madrid, with this option having looked more feasible when Zinedine Zidane was in charge.

With Karim Benzema, Eduardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy already in the squad, and Kylian Mbappe being a priority target for Real Madrid, Pogba could join forces with his France teammates at Los Blancos.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid have not ruled out moving for Pogba as part of their plan to strengthen their midfield.

Real Madrid have had issues with Raiola in the past, but the possibility of presenting both Mbappe and Pogba at the renovated Estadio Santiago Bernabeu is appealing.

A Juventus return

Pogba was happy in Turin, but it is doubtful whether Juventus could meet his salary demands, given that they are already having issues doing so with Paulo Dybala, who earns about ten million euros a year.

"I always talk to former teammates like Dybala," said Pogba after France's win over Belgium in the Nations League semi-finals.

"Now, I have one year left on my contract at Manchester United. I want to finish well there and [then] we'll see. Anyway, I was good in Turin."

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are willing to offload Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot to raise money to pay the 15 million euros per season that Pogba earns at Old Trafford.

A French adventure at PSG

PSG are one of the few clubs who can afford Pogba's wages, but the midfielder has never had the desire to play in Ligue 1. In fact, he hasn't featured there since the age of 16, when he left Le Havre to join Manchester United's reserve team.
