Manchester United centre-forward Rasmus Hojlund is facing an uncertain future as Benjamin Sesko edges towards completing his move。
Manchester United are on the verge of completing their fourth major signing of the summer with Benjamin Sesko in England to finalise the transfer.
Should the move go as expected, Sesko will join Diego Leon, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo in joining the Reds in Manchester this summer. The arrival of the Slovenian is seen as a statement of intent by United considering the competition from Champions League bound Newcastle.
Of course, Sesko's imminent arrival has led to questions about the future of one man in particular. MEN Sport has taken a closer look at the rumours swirling around Rasmus Hojlund and the club in general this summer.
AC Milan prioritising Hojlund
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Milan club are now prioritising a move for Hojlund ahead of Juventus' Dusan Vlahovic this summer. It is believed that AC would like the deal to be a loan with an option to purchase the Dane next summer.
Hojlund's stock remains high in Italy thanks to his spell at Atalanta before joining United. It is claimed that AC could look to include an option to buy worth as much as £30m in 2026.
What MEN Sport says: We understand that there is an acceptance in Hojlund's camp that he may have to leave this summer should Sesko be signed to take his place in the squad. Were he to leave, a move back to Serie A could be ideal for him. Like United, AC are a historic club with a huge fanbase and the Dane could see this as the perfect team to rebuild his career. With the World Cup on the horizon, Hojlund needs to play and it just does not seem like he will do that at Old Trafford this season so why not move back to Italy.
