Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has earmarked Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot as a summer transfer target, according to reports.
The temporary Red Devils boss is set to be handed the job on a permanent basis after impressing as head coach by retuning United to top four contention and guiding them into the quarter finals of the Champions League.
He is therefore planning ahead of the summer, where he hopes to make a number of signings to turn Manchester United back into genuine Premier League title contenders.
There are a number of areas the Norwegian is looking to strengthen, including at full-back and right wing.
But according to The Sun he is also looking to strengthen Manchester United's midfield and has earmarked Rabiot as a potential signing.
The France international is out of contract at the end of the season at Paris Saint-Germain, where he has lost his place in the first team.
A number of huge European sides are keen on landing the midfielder, including Barcelona and Arsenal, and now United have emerged as extra competition.
A United source told the paper: "There is interest there. His advisers look to be offering him around though.
"The boss is well aware of his ability. We are on the lookout for a midfield link player for the long-term."
