Real Madrid have plenty to focus on ahead of next Saturday's Champions League final against Liverpool, but they still found time to welcome one of their most famous former players back.
David Beckham left Los Blancos for LA Galaxy all of 11 years ago, which means there were few familiar faces at their Valdebebas training headquarters, but he found one in the form of club captain Sergio Ramos.
The pair posed together for a photo, which was published to Ramos' Instagram with the caption: 'The photo with the most tattoos per cm2...and the most love! A great among the greats, Mr @DavidBeckham.'
Ramos, now the captain of Real Madrid, is the only current player to have featured alongside Beckham in those heady days. Ramos moved from Sevilla in 2005 and, approaching 13 years at the club, is the longest serving player in Zinedine Zidane's squad.
They spent two seasons together at the Bernabeu and lifted the La Liga title in 2007, which would turn out to be the only piece of silverware the former England captain won during four troubled seasons in Spain.
Ramos, 32, has had ever so slightly more success since arriving at the club, picking up four La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and three Champions League titles. That could increase to four if they beat Liverpool in the final, which would be a third successive European crown for the team.
Speaking of the prospect of winning the Champions League again, Ramos said: 'For us, to have a new opportunity to show that we are the kings of Europe is always positive.'
'It shows that, with hard work, sacrifice, effort and consistency over a long period of time, you can get rewarded and it will allow us to experience moments like this, in which we have the chance to play in another final and familiarise ourselves with what we have been doing over the past few seasons.
'We'll try to repay our fans and bring them happiness by winning the Champions League - winning it for the third year running would be a dream.
'Let's hope we can do it and bring the trophy that we want so badly home and celebrate with our people.'
