Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has added to his already-extensive collection of body art by adding a huge new tattoo down his leg.

The 24-year-old has impressed since moving to the Premier League from Benfica, helping Pep Guardiola's side run away with the title this season.

But it's not just his performances between the sticks that have caught the eye. The goalkeeper's body is covered in tattoos, with an emoji behind his ear just one of a number of designs.

And now the Brazilian has added to his array of body art by extending the sleeve on his leg over his knee. It's a design that has been taking shape since the turn of the year.

It appears to be inspired by Greek mythology, with god Poseidon and ancient temples seemingly among the extensive artwork.

'Before returning home I leave you here the result of 4 (four) long sessions in my hand @ederson93. It is a huge pride to see my work on you,' tattoo artist Joao Morais, 22, said alongside the video on Instagram.

Ederson was part of the City side that belatedly celebrated their Premier League title victory on Sunday.

Guardiola's side lifted the trophy — but not before knocking it off its perch — after a goalless draw with Huddersfield at the Etihad.

City supporters invaded the pitch during and after the match, with the goalkeeper playing his part in helping security restore order.
