Chelsea legend John Terry has joked that he 'will always be captain' as he enjoyed a boat trip with his wife Toni.
The defender, who is a free agent after leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season, was the Blues captain for a club-record 578 matches.
On Saturday he posted a picture of himself and his wife in captain hats on a boat on to Instagram.
The caption read: 'The football may have started without me today but I will always be the CAPTAIN. Great wins for @chelseafc @avfcofficial.'
Terry also uploaded a video of him performing a back flip off the boat and into the sea.
He denied claims that he had retired from professional football at the end of last month.
Terry posted a photo of himself with wife Toni on holiday as they relaxed by a swimming pool and claimed he was taking his time to think about his future.
He captioned the photo by saying: 'Just to confirm I haven’t retired. I’m currently enjoying my holidays with my family and weighing up ALL my options.'
Terry was Chelsea's 'captain, leader, legend' and won 14 major titles as skipper.
