Cristiano Ronaldo has been busily preparing to finally make his debut for new club Al-Nassr after his high-profile switch to the Saudi Pro-League.

Al-Nassr will take on Al-Shaddab on Saturday afternoon, with Ronaldo able to at last make his bow for the club after seeing out his mandatory two-match ban for smashing an Everton fan's phone.

The Portuguese icon signed an eye-watering £175m-a-year deal to join his new team, but was only able to be registered after Cameroon forward Vincent Aboubakar had his contract cancelled to make way.

The statement signing took to Instagram to share a picture of himself and new team-mate Khaled Al-Ghannam after a last workout ahead of the game.

Ronaldo wrote: 'Great workout session @khaledghanamm11,' on his account on Saturday.

The 37-year-old officially joined Al-Nassr back in December, but has had to wait 16 days to make an appearance, due to several hold ups, including his two-match ban and the fact that he was unregistered for the early stages of his arrival.

But the Saudi Arabian side have apparently been in rampant form without their newest star, sitting top of the league after 12 games.

Rudi Garcia's side have lost only once, winning nine and drawing the other two as they lead the division for both goals scored and are joint-top for fewest goals conceded.

Ronaldo could be on course for a high-profile reunion with one of his greatest rivals in Europe, with Lionel Messi and PSG set to face a combined squad of Saudi All-Stars - which the ex-Manchester United man is sure to be part of.

One Saudi Arabian businessman has already bid £2.2m for a 'golden ticket' to see the two all-time greats potentially face off in the exhibition match.

Messi has also been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro-League of late, with both Al-Ittihad and Al-Hilal prepared to offer him a staggering £306m-a-year according to reports in Spain.

Al-Nassr head coach Garcia has reportedly held talks with Eden Hazard, in a move that could see the Real Madrid flop make up arguably the most exciting attack in the league's history alongside Ronaldo.
