Experts of last DAILY TOPIC: Why is Asian football always lagging behind other continents?
@Pallab707: Money and population is not everything in football. A good grassroot level development of football is blank in majority of Asian country. Some started it 10-15 years back & Some has just started. But for so many years Asia is producing weak footballing team in comparison to Europe or America and Africa too.You can say that Cricket has a big role here in ruining football party. Still the approach, organisations, mentality for football and in specific genes of Asia's people are not footballphilic. They are hugely talented as Supporters not as football players. Some countries had nice experience in worldcup but they has nothing in case of consistency of success. Iran, Saudi Arabia ,Japan, Korea etc are common name in WC from this biggest continent of Earth .One can only imagine in dream about a country like India (biggest prospect ) to play in WC.Asia lack strength and stamina.Even those team that cannot qualify from S . America or Europe for WC are more stronger than Asian WC Qualified teams. That is a shame. It looks like a quota system for backward class of football. Every big team looks to increase their goal difference when they face an Asian team.In Last WC 2014 Iran was exception against Argentina. Major Asian teams looks to defend with 11. Hopefully Asia will fight for their existence to be successful in WC and they will compete with Europe Africa and American continent with same speed, mentality and solidity.
@Jawadprs: The reason why football lags behind in Asia is not cause there is no talent here, but for the reason that it's existence over here is almost negligible.Asia is a cricket dominant continent.Like in Brazil there is a soccer craze as everyone from there birth watches and idiolises soccer, similarly here children look to there idols in cricket game and are driven by the motive to play like there idols. The promotion of cricket is at such a level that on a sports channel 90% times you will find cricket on your TV. Like in Brazil children is every second Street play football , here in every second Street cricket is being played.
The government is also a factor as almost all the budget alloted to the sports area goes into cricket due to which not only football but all other sports gets negligible attention. Here if you want a career in sports then your parents will only except cricket and nothing else cause there is no money and guarantee of successful future. My own brother who was an excellent goalkeeper and was selected to go to Spain to reproduce my country got denied by his parents as it required 2,50,000 Rs and they were not ready to take such a risk ,thus his career ended before even starting.
In my opinion football is not the top loving sport for the ppl there . I mean they might like other sports more than football . For example- in India ppl are crazy as hell for cricket .
You can see the difference in amount spent on both the sports .
What cricketers earn in India is far more than what footballers get .
It also lower their morale .
but now In india also the craze is increasing for soccer as a result it motivates the players .
And you can see India's ranking has improved to 100th .
it is just the example of India but other Asian countries may be facing the same situation .
@6RACIESXAVI:Cricket is one of the most influential reasons of course. It is the most popular sport in most of the Asian countries. Now people usually idealise what they admire while growing up. For the Asians almost every kid wants to be a cricketer (of course there are some exceptions) just like every Brazilian kid would want to be Ronaldinho or Pele or anyone like that. And for this obvious reason a lot of young talented cricketers are produced, which also influences the administration and most of the cricket boards. For example BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) is the richest member of ICC (International Cricket Council).
None of the Football Federation is that strong in Asia. Irregular league arrangements, low payments are some of the common problems. So the system can not extract quality players, on contrary lack of quality also influences the Asian football. It's like an endless loop in any program. But the situation is changing slightly now a days. The Chinese Super league or the Indian Super league is getting more popular lately. It's nothing compared to the Europeans of course, but still it is a progress, and we may hope for better in the future.

I think Zidane is the luckiest manager. Zizou took over Real Madrid after sacking of Rafa Benetiz in January 2016 and has won Spanish League once and Champions Leauge twice along with other trophies in such a short time. But once also has to consider that Zidane had got the core squad of the Real Madrid sent by Benetiz and his predecessor Ancelloti. Zidane just had to tweak the squad here and there and got them well drilled. So all the praise he received for the trophies also belong to his preceding managers. Thats why I consider Zidane to be the luckiest manager. Presently the Real Madrid team are facing somewhat of crisis and the real teat of Zidane has befun from starting of the season as hes faced exodus of talented players and also has ageing players in his squad. Yet the Madrid board have given him chance to atleast get one trophy this season to save his job and prevent this season from becoming a complete disaster. Bit of luck here also! Zidane has always been compared to managerial greats like Cryuff, Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Matt Busby, Vincent Del Bosque, etc. but its too soon to consider him with such greats. The real test of Zidane managerial carrer has begun now and I would like to seen him prove to be one of the best managers as he proved himself at highest level while he playing.

Sir Alex Ferguson, for sheer staying power. The game will never see anything like it again (in my humble opinion) There are many things that make a great manager and winning trophies is just one of them. Managing players is a huge part of things, and no-one did it better then SAF. He dealt with so many players, and dealt with them well, from homegrown talent like Beckham, Scholes, Giggs and the Nevilles through to players that were already big names in the game...Cantona, Ronaldo and Van the Man to name a few. I doubt whether we will see a manager at a single football club for that amount of time, ever again.

In my opinion the luckiest one would be Rafa Benitez. His managerial tactics didn't offer much, exceptduring some of his time at Liverpool and Chelsea. Rafa always preferred squad rotation and zonal marking instead of man marking, which were fruitful sometimes and poor on the other. He was and still is a firm believer of promoting youth talent which adheres with his rotation policy. Now we all know that playing yhe young ones can be a gamble. So was the case for him. I mean the statistics speak for themselves, out of over a 1000 games managed Rafa hasn't even managed to win 600 of them. And yet he has went on to manage teams like Real Madrid, Liverpool and Valencia. Lucky, if u ask me.

In my opinion, I will say itx zidan because he came to meet best players in their best form where they can fight hard for better results, buh nw its difficult for him to manage the team because the players are not in their best form.

Roberto De Mateo is the luckiest coach ever. To take a struggling Chelsea team in 2012 as an interim coach, after being just an assistant coach for sometime, and coming back from a 3-1 loss and proceeding to win the championship league is just out of this world.

on my opinion it's Arsene Wenger. Le Professor has -to up to now- managed securing his seat all decades through, despite unsatisfying results. He is being lucky to escape being kicked out of the club no matter the 90mins scoreboard results, nor how fans lament his current failures. Just imagine in modern football, who can tolerate a long term spell without trophies? Arsenal's board has over trusted him to run and control almost everything at the club. A few other, if present, enjoy this feat

I think zinadin zidan is the luckiest manager having LED Madrid to a back to back UEFA champions league first ever in this era and almost 7trophies in 2seasons after replacing benitez. REAL Madrid has the best professional personal which made zinadin zidan archive all that he has today quite frankly his CV in two seasons is second to none. We were all surprised but We waited patiently for this moment there are going through every soccer analyst had given zidan a benefit of doubt. having failed to keep young stars and sign for new fresh legs have proven how lucky zidan is and now Barcelona is running away with the trophy in both and one hand in the Copa final plus a stape in the UEFA champions league qouter final hoping to end the season with treble. REAL Madrid's extra time has finally come to an end and zinadin zidan will be sacked so that he may prove himself that his the Man and he wasn't just a lucky manager .

I think Zidane was lucky in getting the job. He had no managing experience except for being assistant manager. After rafael benitez was sacked he took over. He didn't really look like a strong candidate but Madrid put their trust in him after previously being a club legend. They first season turned out as a blast. La Liga, Chapions league, and Copa del Rey. However the second season started terribly. Many considered the first season lucky because of the inconsistency and lack of wins. Although Zidane turned the table after defeating PSG. Even if they lose this year you have to give the man credit from introducing and excelling talent like: asensio, kovacic, ceballos and others. He did make many mistakes like selling pepe, morata, and James. But if Madrid win the champions league it would be legendary.
