England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford showed he is just as good with his feet during training with the national side on Wednesday.

The 24-year-old, who demonstrates calmness on the ball for both Everton and England, scored directly from a corner with an incredible piece of skill at St George's Park.

The official Instagram account of the Three Lions uploaded the video of Pickford's impressive strike alongside the caption: 'When @jpickford1 gives the cameraman that look...'

As the shot-stopper headed off the pitch he looked at the camera and collected a ball to take a corner kick.

Pickford curled the ball with his left foot and his effort sailed straight in without bouncing off the surface.

After seeing his attempt hit the back of the net he turned around and smiled at the camera.

Pickford has joined the likes of Lionel Messi and Mohamed Salah after the pair have scored from a similar position.

During a Barcelona training session two years ago Messi, in fact, curled the ball with his left foot to score from behind the goal, while Liverpool's Salah scored directly from a corner for Egypt against Swaziland last month after attempting it in training.

Wayne Rooney was in high spirits on Wednesday morning as he and his England team-mates got to work ahead of the striker's Wembley farewell.

Rooney will pull on the national team shirt one last time against the USA on Thursday evening as the Football Association look to give the former Everton and Manchester United striker a fitting send-off.
