Fans come up with hilarious captions after Phelan posts picture of Solskjaer

Mike Phelan has endeared himself to Manchester United supporters as part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's revolution and it's not just on the pitch that he done it.

Phelan has endeared himself to the Red Devils fanbase with his witty posts on Twitter.

And on Monday morning he did that just again with another amusing post.

Accompanied with the caption: 'Caption this', Phelan uploaded a picture of himself and Solskjaer both looking down at their mobile phones.

Fans were quick to reply with their own funny replies.

'If we both text Sir Alex at the same time we’ll find out who his favourite is,' replied @t9rmo.

'Trying to find a buyer for [Alexis] Sanchez,' wrote @Gary_Breville, while @ManUtdLov3 said: 'What's pogba said today?'.

@SabotageFilms wrote: 'Give it another week and I'll do the balloon thing again' - a reference to when Phelan popped a balloon in the dugout behind legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

Meanwhile @RigadonRick mocked up an image of the pair watching a video of Steven Gerrard's catastrophic slip against Chelsea as Liverpool eventually lost out to Manchester City in the 2013-14 title race.
