Kane and Alli enjoyed a fine relationship on and off the pitch during their Tottenham career and there is a great friendship still there given the England captain's message on social media

Kane and Alli formed an incredible partnership at Tottenham during six-and-a-half years together. But Alli's career has stuttered in the last four seasons and he explained why in an in-depth interview with Gary Neville for The Overlap, explaining his childhood trauma for the first time and revealing an addiction to sleeping tablets.

Kane has sent a message to Alli on his Twitter account, supporting his former teammate. Kane tweeted: "Proud of @dele_official for speaking out and sharing his experience to try and help others (heart emoji)."

The video of Alli's interview with Neville was released on YouTube on Thursday morning. In it, Alli reveals he was molested as a child, was forced to deal drugs and hung from a bridge before being adopted.

He also revealed an addiction to sleeping tablets, which has clearly hampered his career and even talked about Kane and Eric Dier as players who tried to get him on the straight and narrow while at Tottenham.
