According to unitedinfocus, a Manchester United information website, Manchester United has finalized its return-to-Carrington timeline for the 2026 pre-season preparations.
This summer, 14 Manchester United players are participating in the World Cup, while the rest of the squad will use their vacation time before returning for pre-season preparations.
Manchester United has officially confirmed the 2026 pre-season schedule, which includes 6 warm-up matches across Europe.
The first warm-up match will be against Wrexham in Helsinki on July 18th. The club has now confirmed when players need to return for training before this fixture.
Manchester United Players' Pre-Season Training Return Time
Manchester United has confirmed via its official website that players must report to Carrington on Thursday, July 9th to officially begin pre-season training.
Players who participated in the World Cup will receive additional time off, with their return dates staggered based on their respective teams' World Cup elimination dates.
Carrick and his coaching staff will lead training from July 9th, with 9 days to prepare the first team for the warm-up match against Wrexham.
The entire pre-season training period from the first training day to the first Premier League match will last 44 days.
