'No days off' - Ramos allegedly takes swipe at Salah with shoulder strapping

Sergio Ramos has once again risked igniting the fury of Liverpool supporters with an apparent dig at Anfield talisman Mohamed Salah.

The Real Madrid captain posted a photograph on his Instagram account with heavy strapping over his left shoulder, captioning the image 'no days off'.

His followers were quick to draw parallels to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah, who went off injured in the Champions League final with a shoulder problem after being tackled by Ramos.

'Did @MoSalah tackle you?' one user asked, while another said: 'payback from @MoSalah.'

Salah went off injured and in tears after landing heavily on his left shoulder following a robust challenge by Ramos in the first half of Madrid's 3-1 Champions League victory in Kiev.

Ramos also drew further ire from Liverpool supporters after claims emerged that goalkeeper Loris Karius became concussed from a collision with Ramos shortly before his errors turned the game in Madrid's favour.

Ramos has always denied that he intentionally hurt Salah.

Speaking at the World Cup in June, he said: 'It's all been blown out of all proportion. I didn't want to talk but everything gets magnified.

'Salah pulls my arm first, and I fall on the other side. Then when his other arm is injured, they say that I've done a judo move on him. Then the goalkeeper says he is concussed after a clash with me.

'Now it only needs (Roberto) Firmino to say he got the flu as a drop of my sweat fell on him.'

Salah had surgery on the issue and managed to compete at the World Cup for Egypt but was not fully fit.

Egypt were eliminated in the group stages, with Salah scoring once in Egypt's 2-1 defeat by Saudi Arabia.
