In the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Atlético Madrid drew 1-1 with Arsenal at home. Both goals came from penalties, scored by Álvarez and Gyökeres respectively.
According to StatsFoot, this marks the first time since April 26, 2016, that there have been no open-play goals in a Champions League semi-final.
Back in the 2015-16 season, the first leg of the last-four tie between Manchester City and Real Madrid ended in a goalless 0-0 stalemate.
