Rival fans have taken to social media to mock Manchester City with funny memes after yet another Champions League choke job in the semi-finals.
City led 4-3 after first leg at the Etihad Stadium, but ended up crashing out of the Champions League after self destructing in Madrid.
The Premier League giants scored first in the away fixture but ended up losing 6-5 on aggregate after Rodrygo came to turn Wednesday's fixture on its head.
Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring and Man City held the lead until the 90th minute of the game when Rodrygo scored a stunning equaliser.
Rodrygo then put the LaLiga giants ahead and level on aggregate by scoring his second goal of the night just one minute later.
The match then went to extra time, where a clumsy foul from Ruben Dias afforded Real Madrid and penalty - which Karim Benzema slotted into the bottom right corner.
This follows on from City's golden opportunity to win the Champions League last term when they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final.
City have domestic cups and the Premier League three times, but Europe's main prize still alludes him, despite coming close on a number of occasions now.
Rival football fans, however, were enjoying City choking once again as they took to social media to mock Pep Guardiola's side.
One fan tweeted: 'Manchester City FINALLY win the Champions League AND Liam and Noel Gallagher reconcile their differences. What a year.
Another said: 'Man City have spent £918m since Pep Guardiola joined in 2016 and they still can’t win a Champions League.
A third added: 'Football wins as Oilchester City bottle in the Champions League once again.'
Some fans have designed new merchandise and kits for City after their latest setback.
One saying: 'The new Manchester City 2022/23 UEFA Champions League kit has been leaked.
Another said: '@ManCity This yours?. To which Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos responded with laughing face emojis.'
One fan simply compared Man City in the Champions League to Tottenham Hotspur for the way they manage to choke, by saying: 'Man City in the Champions League.
Another fan used a picture of pundit Jamie Carragher drinking a beer and said: 'Me watching City bottle a 2 goal lead in the 90' of a UCL semi-final.'
Manchester City will now have to solely focus on the Premier League and making sure they can secure a fourth title in five years.
They have just four games left to complete that feat, but only sit one point ahead of rivals Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp's side could still potentially win the quadruple, which will no doubt spark more Twitter reaction towards City, if that is to be the case.
