If you truly understand football, you will realize Oliver Giroud played a major role in France's World Cup triumph, Didier Deschamps knows it. Strikers are expected to be scoring goals, but he's one of a kind, who drags away defenders, holds the ball, creates spaces and let others score goals. He always has a major influence on the whole teams performances. Deschamps left out Lacazzete and Benzema, and even still has better options in the bench if he wants to, but he chose to play Giroud, every game, and it worked well for him. The CF didn't score a goal, yet they won it. It's same for Chelsea, Chelsea has a good game, gets more attacking, and scores more goals when Giroud plays, even if he is not the one who scores.
