Where legend bagan! OTD in 1993, Del Piero made Juventus debut

On this day in 1993, a young kid named Alessandro Del Piero made his official debut for Juventus.

Del Piero debuted in a Serie A away game vs Foggia when he entered the pitch after 74 minutes. The match finished 1-1 (Ravanelli) and the rest is, as they say, history.

The former Juventus captain has won 1 World Cup, 1 Champions League, 7 Serie A, 1 Coppa Italia, and 4 Italian Super Cup.

One of my all time Favorite!! This player was fan favorite all over the world which happens to be during time of no Instagram or facebook or any social media!! Imagine he was starting his career during this era!! What his fan base and popularity would reach? Esp his one line beard he did for Persol glasses became a world hit!! Super Icon and yet very humble!!
