Experts of last DAILY TOPIC: Which footballer thrived after changing positions?

@Abdelfattah47: Antonio Valencia has been a very vital part for Jose Mourinho's side Manchester United since shifting his transition being a winger to full back. Captain Valencia has been very solid at the back earning praise from Mourinho as, "one of best right backs in the world". Indeed. He has performed brilliantly this season, notching three goals, a stunner against Everton which won goal of the month at MU, a decisive goal against Arsenal which helped United win 3-1 & his left foot strike against Stoke which also won United goal of the month. Aside, the Ecuadorian powerhouse has been so tough when it comes to defensive, his tackling & pace makes him hard for an opponent to get past him. His performance speaks for itself with United being regarded to be one of the fewer teams In the top five leagues to concede fewer goals.

@estera: Well, this is a fantastic question and I could go crazy with my analysis, there are many suitable options for this topic but I will choose Joshua Kimmich as my example.

We all know Joshua Kimmich is brilliant young versatile player comfortable in several different playing formation and positions, he literally can play any position that requires the coach, maybe just as a goalie he wouldn't fit. Joshua Kimmich started as a typical midfielder, he was getting a lot of responsibilities as a play maker, creator of the game and in this function he was almost flawless. But later as Philipp Lahm announced his retirement , Joshua Kimmich was getting more and more chances as a defender on Lahm position and this was perfect score not just for Bayern but for ELF too. On this role Joshua Kimmich is absolutely brilliant, his defensive skills are noticeable in every single game, impact that Joshua Kimmich has on the game as a defender is immeasurable, his ball control and pass accuracy are outstanding, he is master of assist. His role as a defender and contribution to the game has great influence on the whole team, he really is future leader because his leadership abilities are crucial for next ten-fifteen years, hopefully years of big success. Sadly he is not a football star in full sense of the word, just like Philipp Lahm wasn't ,they both are not highlighted by the fame but their hard work is 'silent' but brilliant , maybe because he plays in Bundesliga and many times Bundesliga is neglected ,EPL and La Liga are more attractive leagues to people so they many times will choose any EPL or La Liga player over Bundesliga player,no matter how talented he is.

Conclusion, Joshua Kimmich is the best as a defender ,in this role he is showing his full playing potential and capacity,he is not just Lahm's successor he will surpass his mentor and become one of the greatest in history of German football!
