Roy Keane was trending on social media on Sunday following his cutting assessments on Sky Sports but he was also the talk of Twitter earlier that day due to one throwback photo.

On Sunday morning, his former Manchester United team-mate Dion Dublin shared a picture of he and his team-mates in 1993.

The Red Devils had just won the inaugural Premier League title and their first top-flight crown in 26 years.

And during the celebrations that summer they posed for a picture with British boyband Take That on the Old Trafford turf with the trophy. Keane had just joined the club from Nottingham Forest in the summer of 1993 but Dublin had played a part in United's title success during the 1992-93 campaign, despite breaking his leg early on.

As the photo is nearly 28-year-old there are some questionable fashion choices, which Dublin has called out - including his own.

Accompanying the picture, Dublin wrote on Twitter: 'Why is my T-Shirt 4 sizes to big for me? BUT... who's gear is the worst?

'I'm going for Keaney's or @robbiewilliams #ManUtd.'

Keane and Dublin stood next too each other in the photo and their fashion styles raise eyebrows, as does Take That singer Robbie Williams'.

Fast forward to the present and Keane was trending on Sunday afternoon after being embroiled in a furious on-air row with Jamie Redknapp while discussing the state of Tottenham's squad.

Former Manchester United captain Keane insisted the Premier League's biggest teams 'wouldn't touch' anyone but Harry Kane and Son Heung-min - with colleague, and Sportsmail columnist, Redknapp vehemently disagreeing as both men grew more and more incensed.

Keane's assessment of the group available to Jose Mourinho was withering and his red-faced retorts looked to wave away Redknapp's defence of several Spurs players.

Later that day, Keane was scathing of United's display in their 0-0 draw at top-four rivals Chelsea. The 49-year-old said he was 'getting more annoyed as the game went on' and there was a 'real lack of quality from United'.

Keane was withering of Liverpool too ahead of their match at Sheffield United, which they won 2-0. Before the match his colleagues were commenting and expressing their concerns about another makeshift Reds defence this time comprising of Nat Phillips and Ozan Kabak.

However, Keane was having none of it saying: 'We've spent the last six months talking about Liverpool's problems. They're signed with Liverpool Football Club, if they can't deal with playing Sheffield United away, they should retire.'
