Italian Media: Milan need a striker, attacking wingers, and center-back this summer

According to Milan News, Amorim is already planning for Milan even before arriving. The Rossoneri's most pressing needs this summer are a striker, wing-backs, and defensive reinforcements.

Milan Needs a Striker

This is not just an issue for Amorim, Allegri, or any coach who might take the Milan job. For this team, the last time a striker consistently scored goals was Giroud, a few years ago when he was nearly 40. Looking further back, it would probably be during Bacca's time.

Milan needs a striker who can be consistently available and score goals. This is a fundamental issue that the Rossoneri have ignored, underestimated, or neglected too many times. There's no avoiding it now; this rebuilding opportunity must be seized to sign a striker, preferably chosen according to Amorim's requirements. When Amorim coached Sporting CP, he had players like Gyökeres, and the impact was very clear. Current targets include Gonçalo Ramos and Nicolas Jackson.

Amorim Also Needs Wing-Backs and Defenders

Another key signing will be wing-backs. Amorim has long favored a 3-4-2-1 formation, in which wing-backs play a crucial role, needing to create space and provide attacking support for the team. Currently, Milan has Saelemaekers and Arteaga on the right, and Bartesaghi and Theo Hernández on the left. Regardless of who stays among these four, Milan clearly needs an upgrade—at least one player who fully meets Amorim's requirements.

Milan also needs to strengthen its defense. Fortunately, the players have already adapted to a three-man defense under Allegri, but the team still needs a high-quality center-back to improve overall defensive strength. Obviously, these three signings are not enough, but they are likely Milan's top three priorities this summer. The Rossoneri also hope that Maignan, Rabiot, and Pulisic will all remain with the team.
