Jorginho mistakenly signs Pulisic shirts leaving fan 'very disappointed'

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has left a fan 'very disappointed' after mistakenly signing two Christian Pulisic replica shirts during his side's pre-season tour in the United States.

The Blues have arrived in Los Angeles to play Club America and Charlotte FC as Thomas Tuchel's team prepare for the new season.

They have been given a warm welcome by local supporters who gathered outside the side's training base, and one fan was eager to get the autograph of fellow American, Pulisic. However, things didn't exactly go to plan for him.

'Yesterday I attempted to get @cpulisic_10 to sign his USA & Dortmund kits at Chelsea training (he didn't). Instead Jorginho shockingly walked up and immediately signed both without asking,' the fan with the Twitter handle @JSRFootball wrote alongside a video of the incident.

'I have no idea why, nobody else did. My jerseys are now ruined and I'm very disappointed.'

The supporter appeared to be genuinely upset that he had missed out on getting his hero's signature, but he received little sympathy on social media.

One fan compared his unfortunate situation to a memorable moment from The Simpsons, where the show has a photo of Sean Connery signed by fellow James Bond actor, Roger Moore.

'This is the funniest tweet I’ve ever read,' another fan commented in response to the original tweet.

Meanwhile, others took Jorginho's side, and even claimed that the supporter should be grateful that the Italian signed both shirts.

'Jorgi is so class,' one supporter wrote on Twitter.

'You are actually lucky as it was signed by a better player and TOP 3 BALLON D’OR 2021 player,' another added.

There was also some bemusement as to why the fan had turned up with a Borussia Dortmund shirt in the first place - a club that Pulisic has not played for since 2019.

'Why you bringing a Dortmund shirt to a Chelsea training?' one supporter asked.

The fan has since claimed that he is still hopeful of getting Pulisic's autograph, and it remains to be seen whether things will go smoother if he gets a second opportunity to meet Chelsea's players.
