National teams across Europe will compete in the new league format that will culminate in a Final Four showpiece event in 2019 for the title of Nations League champion. Is the UEFA Nations League a great idea? What's your opinion?

It's good because it gives bottom clubs a chance to qualify for EURO 20

nop . Because of this thing the European teams didn't have time to play with Latin American and African gaints. That's a con. Are you agreeing with me?

I genuinely hope there's a highlight package so I can keep up with the bottom league, had no interest in watching any of their games before now I'm almost more excited for see a Faroe Islands game lol.

This will certainly be more interesting than friendlies, and I have a feeling it will grow bigger in time

As others said if you finish last in the 3 man group you're relegated to the league below and if you top you get promoted. Then when the traditional qualifiers are done in like November 2019 any teams that didn't qualify and won their nations league group go into a play off vs the other group winners of their A/B/C/D league. The A/top league winners will play a tournament regardless of if they already qualified to decide the Nations League champions in March 2020.

Instead of starting the qualifiers now these matches fill the gaps that were usually taken by friendlies and make the qualifiers more compact, especially for the lesser sides which would struggle to set them up.

For the 2020 Euros this is done For all tiers (A, B, C, and D) and the winner of each tournament goes to the Euros. If the team has already qualified, the next highest ranked from the tier will qualify instead.

From what I can gather: The winners from each group in tier A goes through to a one-leg semi-final against each other. The winner of the semi-finals then play a final and the winner is crowned UEFA Nations League Champion.

Hopefully this will be an exciting competition in the run-up to Euro 2020.

Competitions have different forms of qualification that aren't necessarily parallel.

Why would that team be more deserving? The set-up has changed, teams have to play according to the rules they're given.

It’ll be better than friendlies but the way it interacts with euros qualifying is an embarrassment

Yes Indeed it is a great league ..... It gives opportunity to every country in the Europe to represent themselves and show their talent at the highest level ......... Also a great stage for players from small nations to prove their metal and have themselves playing in the biggest leagues such as... Premier league,La Liga BBVA,Seria A,etc......
